π Apple Rolls, the sweet treat I make 3 times a week! π
Simple, fragrant, and irresistible – ready in just a few minutes!
Apple rolls are a sweet and light treat, perfect for any time of day. The aroma of apples and cinnamon that fills the kitchen is pure magic: a homemade recipe that combines simplicity, taste, and tradition. βπ
π¬ Have you ever tried apple rolls? Tell me in the comments how you prepare them! π¬
π Ingredients (for about 8 rolls)
1 rectangular sheet of puff pastry
2 apples (Golden or Renette)
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Juice of half a lemon
1 tablespoon of honey or apricot jam
Powdered sugar to decorate
π‘ Tip: you can also use shortcrust pastry for a more rustic version.
π©βπ³ Step-by-step preparation
1οΈβ£ Prepare the apples
Peel and thinly slice the apples. Put them in a bowl with lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon. Mix and let them rest for 10 minutes to allow them to absorb the flavors and caramelize slightly. π―
2οΈβ£ Prepare the pastry
Unroll the puff pastry and cut it into 5 cm strips. Spread a thin layer of honey or jam on each strip: this will act as a glue and give a sweet and fruity touch.
3οΈβ£ Arrange the apples
Place the slices along one edge, overlapping them slightly and letting them protrude a little from the top edge. πΉ
4οΈβ£ Roll up
Gently roll up the strips starting from the side with the apples. Place the rolls on a baking sheet with the seam facing down.
5οΈβ£ Baking
Bake in a preheated oven at 180Β°C for 25-30 minutes, until golden and fragrant. The scent of cinnamon and honey will be irresistible. π
6οΈβ£ Decoration
Let them cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar. Serve them warm: the crispy pastry and the apple filling will win you over! π
