Mix Vaseline and Coffee : Why Didn’t I Know This Sooner

If you still want to try it for exfoliation and softening, do it right:

Simple DIY Scrub Recipe:

  • 2 tbsp used coffee grounds (cooled and dried slightly)
  • 1 tbsp Vaseline
  • Optional: ½ tsp honey (for extra moisture) or a drop of vanilla for scent

How to Apply:

  1. Apply to damp skin (dry skin + scrub = micro-tears).
  2. Gently massage in circles for 30–60 seconds—don’t scrub hard!
  3. Rinse thoroughly (coffee can stain light towels!).
  4. Pat dry and apply more Vaseline if needed.

Best for: Heels, elbows, knees—not delicate areas like the face or inner thighs.

⚠️ Avoid if: You have open cuts, acne, rosacea, or very sensitive skin. Coffee grounds can be jagged and cause micro-abrasions.

🚫 The Bigger Concern: Misinformation

The real danger isn’t the mixture itself—it’s the false promises that come with it:

  • “Melt cellulite in 7 days!”
  • “Erase stretch marks!”
  • “Detox your skin!”

These claims prey on insecurity and lack scientific backing. Your skin doesn’t “detox”—your liver and kidneys do. And cellulite is normal—over 80% of women have it, regardless of weight or fitness.
