1. Bake the “Cell Block” Cake:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) . Grease and flour two 9-inch round pans.
- Mix cake batter according to box or homemade recipe. Add vanilla.
- Bake 25–30 minutes (until a toothpick comes out clean). Cool completely.
2. Make the Peanut Butter Banana Filling:
- Mix peanut butter, mashed banana, and honey in a bowl. Adjust consistency with powdered sugar if too soft.
3. Create the “Bars” Frosting:
- Mix buttercream with crushed Oreos until speckled. Reserve ¼ cup for piping later.
4. Assemble the Cake:
- Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread peanut butter banana filling evenly.
- Top with second cake layer. Frost the entire cake with the Oreo-flecked frosting.
5. Add the “Bars” Design:
- Use a piping bag with a zig-zag tip to pipe white chocolate “bars” vertically across the cake.
- Fill gaps with melted white chocolate for a prison-cell look.
