Grandma’s mashed potatoes

Ingredients

1 kg of starchy potatoes (choose Russet or white potatoes, ideal for a smooth and light purée)

500 ml of whole milk (for perfect creaminess)

40 g of butter (or more if you want a richer, more delicious purée)

Salt to taste

Freshly grated nutmeg (optional, but it adds a special touch)

Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, but I assure you it’s delicious)
