Truffles with Ladyfingers, Coffee, and Mascarpone

Preparation

1. Prepare the coffee
Make a strong coffee and let it cool completely. You can use decaffeinated coffee if you prefer a milder flavor.
2. Crumble the ladyfingers
Crush the ladyfingers into fine crumbs in a bowl. A slightly uneven texture makes the truffles more interesting.
3. Mix in the mascarpone
Add the mascarpone to the crumbled ladyfingers and mix well. If the mixture is too thick, add a tablespoon of milk to loosen it.
4. Combine the coffee and sugar
Pour the cold coffee and sugar into the mixture. Add a pinch of cinnamon for a spicy flavor. Mix until smooth.
5. Shape the truffles
Take small portions of the dough and shape them into balls with your hands. Keep the mixture similar in size for a uniform presentation.6. Coat with cocoa
Roll each ball in the unsweetened cocoa powder, ensuring they are completely coated.
7. Decorate with chocolate
Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave. Drizzle a little chocolate over each truffle for an elegant touch.
8. Refrigerate
Arrange the truffles on a tray and refrigerate them for at least an hour. This will help them harden.
9. Serve and enjoy
The truffles are ready to serve. Enjoy them as a dessert or with a cup of coffee or tea.
