Evelyn’s late husband, Howard, had once promised they’d live and di:e together, but fate had other plans. One night, he suffered a heart att:ack and passed away, leaving Evelyn to live alone.
Howard had owned a successful antique shop and kept valuable items in their home. Rumors of his fortune had led to past robbery attempts. Evelyn, despite feeling unsafe, refused help from neighbors—even though many knew she lived alone.
One day, Evelyn noticed her 31-year-old neighbor Rick lurking suspiciously near her fence. He quickly looked away and acted casual, but something about him unsettled her.
